I thought hiring smarter people would fix the business.
Turns out, the one who needed to change was me.
At 21, I was broke, stubborn, and welding Jeep bumpers in my mom’s garage. I had zero leadership training, no business plan, and no clue what I was doing—just a dream, a welder, and an eBay account.
Over the course of two decades, that garage hustle evolved into JcrOffroad, a thriving company with over 40 team members and a Lean culture that has transformed how we lead, solve problems, and support our people. But none of that happened until I stopped blaming my team—and started becoming the leader they deserved.
Today, I help leaders do the same. I share real stories, hard-won lessons, and practical tools to help you grow into a better version of yourself—and build a culture your team is proud to be part of.
